Lockton has announced new leadership appointments within its US casualty business, naming Peter Rapciewicz (pictured above, left) as US casualty leader and Jessica Cullen (pictured above, right) as head of excess casualty and operations.
Rapciewicz will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and growth of Lockton’s casualty offerings nationwide. He will report to Devin Beresheim, Lockton’s US risk solutions leader.
Cullen will focus on strengthening the company’s casualty capabilities and supporting the expansion of its excess liability platform, reporting to Rapciewicz.
Rapciewicz brings more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry, including over ten years in leadership roles at Lockton. Most recently, he served as alternative risk solutions practice leader, where he managed a team that developed solutions such as parametric insurance, structured risk solutions, captive consulting, fronting arrangements, alternative collateral strategies, and legacy solutions.
He also contributed to the establishment of Lockton’s global parametric practice, which brought together specialists from various regions to address risk transfer strategies for clients.
Cullen joined Lockton in 2024 as head of the US casualty practice in London, leading a team that delivered global casualty insurance solutions across multiple sectors. She has 20 years of industry experience and previously served as managing director of the casualty practice at Gallagher.
Both Rapciewicz and Cullen are based in New York City.
“Pete and Jessica are proven leaders with a strong reputation of innovation and solving complex problems for our clients. I am confident that with their technical expertise, strategic mindset, and unwavering commitment to client service, our clients will get the right solutions to help their businesses thrive,” Beresheim said.
In addition to these appointments, Lockton recently named several national leaders across its US industry practices, reflecting an ongoing expansion of its sector-focused capabilities. These new roles span transportation, energy, law, marine, life sciences, healthcare, and construction, further broadening the company’s reach and expertise in key markets.
Among the new leaders, Matthew Payne was named US transportation practice leader, while Rob Hausler was appointed to lead the energy practice. Eric Braverman was selected as the US law firms practice leader, bringing extensive experience from previous roles in both insurance and law.
In the marine sector, Anita Farmer and Rob Cairo were named US cargo and logistics practice leaders, and Jana Byron was appointed US marine risks and liability practice leader.
Additional appointments include Brad Zechman and David Salvucci as US life sciences practice leaders, Ethan Crain and Becky Cady as US healthcare practice leaders, and Paul Primavera as US construction practice leader.
