Brown & Brown expands retail leadership team
Brown & Brown has announced a series of appointments within its retail segment, part of its integration efforts following its acquisition of Risk Strategies.
The firm has named a slate of retail senior leaders and retail vice presidents, while also appointing Mark Manzi as North American retail brokerage leader.
These leaders will oversee initiatives across property and casualty, employee benefits, and personal lines, aiming to strengthen carrier relationships and position the retail business for scalable growth.
Howden US adds vice chairman
Howden US has appointed Michael Landa (pictured above, left) as vice chairman and member of the US executive committee.
DOXA names president
DOXA Insurance Holdings promoted Kevin Wall (pictured above, center), its longtime CFO, to president.
Wall will now oversee underwriting, product launches, and enterprise functions such as people and culture. The move underscores DOXA’s push to build a “community of excellence” by aligning its MGAs and MGUs for continued organic and acquisition-driven growth.
The MJ Companies strengthens employee benefits team
The MJ Companies appointed Melinda Eckard (pictured above, right) as vice president of employee benefits operations and client experience.
Based in Phoenix but overseeing national operations, Eckard brings nearly two decades of experience from Willis Towers Watson. She will focused on aligning benefits strategies with compliance requirements and enhancing client service across the firm's employee benefits platform.
NFP expands in the Atlantic region
NFP welcomes Mark Carroll and Bill Schmidt as vice presidents of benefits in its Atlantic region.
The firm has also acquired their books of business, reinforcing its presence in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Both Carroll and Schmidt bring decades of expertise in helping small and midsize businesses manage employee benefits, a key growth area in the region.

Brown & Riding has announced that Maria Healy has joined its national property practice.
Based in Florida, Healy brings over 20 years of experience in complex property and builder’s risk. Her appointment strengthens the firm’s ability to deliver tailored solutions and deepen relationships with property clients.
