The insurance industry is experiencing a wave of executive appointments and promotions spanning wholesale distribution, specialty brokerage, underwriting, and corporate leadership.
CRC Group has expanded its specialty divisions with the addition of two brokers. Florence DiPietro (pictured above, left) joins as a property broker on the Philadelphia team, where she will lead Mid-Atlantic growth initiatives and support complex property placements. She brings over 20 years of experience in retail brokerage and carrier markets.
Also joining is Alex Schawiak (pictured above, center), now part of CRC’s recently acquired ARC Excess & Surplus. Based in Connecticut, Schawiak has a decade of experience in specialty insurance, focusing on management and professional liability, including cyber and technology E&O. He will deliver executive risk solutions nationwide through ARC’s platform.
The MJ Companies has appointed Anu Dhamecha (pictured above, right) as director of pharmacy practice. Based in Indianapolis, she will oversee MJ’s MagniPhy Pharmacy Solutions across the US.
Dhamecha has more than 30 years of experience in pharmacy benefits administration, including senior roles at leading pharmacy benefit managers. MJ said her expertise will support clients navigating rising costs and complexities in healthcare and pharmacy benefits.

Trucordia promoted Leslie Greve (pictured immediately above) to senior vice president of marketing. Since joining in 2024, Greve has led a multi-phase rebranding initiative, unifying the company’s legacy offices under the Trucordia brand. She will continue to drive brand development, content strategy and integrated marketing efforts during the company’s growth phase.
CNA Financial Corporation announced several executive appointments to strengthen its underwriting across core businesses.
David Haas has been named president of global specialty, overseeing financial lines, healthcare, affinity and warranty. Michael Nardiello will serve as president of global property and casualty, expanding his role to lead casualty alongside property and marine.
Meanwhile, Song Kim will become president of global commercial industry segments, adding construction to his responsibilities for middle market and small business.
NFP, an Aon, company, has hired Tom Ryan as managing director of complex risk for its Central and West regions.
Based in Chicago, Ryan previously held leadership roles at Gallagher and Lockton. He brings more than 20 years of casualty practice and national account management experience, which NFP says will support expansion in complex risk advisory services.
Liberty Bankers Insurance Group has promoted Debbie Miner to senior vice president of annuity marketing.
Miner has been with LBIG since 2007, overseeing operations in Waco and building relationships with Dallas partners and annuity agents. The company credited her with helping shape its annuity marketing success.
United Fire Group has appointed Gilda Spencer as an independent board member, effective August 15, 2025. Spencer, a former senior legal executive at Allstate and Nationwide, will serve on UFG’s risk management and compensation committees.
Commercial property insurer FM appointed Tara Long as senior vice president and chief information officer.
Long joins from MassMutual, where she held several senior technology roles, including chief technology officer. At FM, she will lead technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives.
Brown & Riding has hired Lauren Root as vice president in its national property practice.
Based in Houston, Root specializes in property and inland marine with a focus on catastrophe-exposed risks. She joins from a background in complex property placements and will work closely with clients on tailored risk solutions.
