Acrisure UK has brought four specialist firms onto its broking platform as the insurance intermediary accelerates a consolidation strategy that has reshaped its UK operations over the past year.
The company said that managing general agent (MGA) Confidas and brokers Heathwoods Insurance & Financial Services, Smith Greenfield Services, and Marrs Insurance Brokers had joined its UK operation. Marrs completed the move in February, with the remaining three firms joining this week.
The additions span commercial lines, construction, property, high-net-worth, and heritage insurance – areas where Acrisure UK has been building out capacity through targeted acquisitions.
Mark McIlquham (pictured above), the company's UK chief executive, said each firm brought "trusted client relationships, talented people and a commitment to doing the right thing" to the broking platform. He called the deals "a significant step in our expansion this year."
"This alignment is exactly what we look for in our long-term partners so we can grow together," McIlquham said.

The acquisitions come after Acrisure UK completed a rebrand programme in January that unified all previously acquired brokerages – including Sutton Winson, Affinity Brokers, FinCred, BLG, CRK, and Hine – under a single identity. McIlquham said at the time the move was aimed at positioning the company to "deepen our role as a trusted advisor."
Among the incoming leadership, Mark Eckstein of Heathwoods has been named director of real estate, bringing a specialism in property and construction insurance from the firm's North London office. Steve Smith takes on the role of head of private clients, overseeing a practice covering high-value homes, fine art, private collections, and liability solutions.
Smith's appointment also brings the Confidas MGA into the fold, with its portfolio products for high-net-worth clients.
Confidas is the latest addition to an expanding MGA portfolio within Acrisure UK. In February, the company launched 2Vision under Sutton Specialist Risks, covering professional liability, standalone terrorism, and D&O insurance alongside existing MGAs AUK MGA and Modus.
Marrs Insurance Brokers had previously been part of Acrisure's appointed representative network, Eleven, before transitioning to the broking platform under managing director Mark Coffer.
