Acrisure will enter 2026 with all its acquired UK brokers trading under a single name, after rebranding Russell Scanlan and WH&R McCartney into the Acrisure brand.

The company said the move completes its UK broker rebrand program and brings all acquired brokerages operating in the country under a single internationally recognized brand, part of Acrisure’s effort to build a unified broking platform in the UK.

Nottingham-based Russell Scanlan and Motherwell-based WH&R McCartney now operate under the Acrisure name, joining other commercial and specialist brokers within Acrisure UK Broking that have already transitioned. Acrisure has previously rebranded Sutton Winson, Affinity Brokers, FinCred, Building and Land Guarantees (BLG), CRK and Hine under the same name.

“The completion of our broker rebrands is a pivotal moment for our business. Entering 2026 as one unified brand positions us to deepen our role as a trusted advisor and accelerate growth across the UK,” said Mark McIlquham, UK CEO at Acrisure. “By combining the local knowledge of our brokers with Acrisure’s scale and digital capability, we are further strengthening our ability to support SMEs, corporates and private clients across the country.”

Russell Scanlan was established in 1881 and serves clients across the UK, including national corporates and specialist independent businesses. The broker supports both private and commercial clients through its broking teams.

“Russell Scanlan’s commitment to delivering outstanding service has always been central to who we are and has set us apart for more than a century,” said Mike Dickinson (pictured top, left), regional director for the Midlands at Acrisure UK Broking. “Acrisure shares this ethos, and joining the business has given us access to the tools and capability needed to build on this offering. We’re looking forward to entering this new chapter and growing together.”

WH&R McCartney was founded in 1932 and brings specialist commercial insurance knowledge in the care industry sector to Acrisure. Acrisure said the business, one of Scotland’s oldest brokers and previously a third-generation family-run firm, will continue to provide commercial insurance and advice to clients across England and Scotland under the Acrisure brand.

Graeme Robb (pictured top, right), managing director of the Motherwell office at Acrisure UK Broking, said: “While WH&R McCartney’s business growth has always been driven by the strength of our client relationships, aligning fully with the Acrisure brand brings real value. It opens the door to a much broader range of products and services, helping us offer even more to support the growth and protection of our clients. Becoming part of Acrisure has given us access to a global network of experts while staying true to the service and independence our clients trust us for.”

The brand consolidation in the UK follows other Acrisure activity in 2025, including completion of its acquisition of Heartland Payroll from Global Payments for $1.1 billion, along with a December 2025 announcement to acquire MGA Vave from Canopius and an agreement to buy Poland-based insurtech Efficient Insurance Solutions (EIS), subject to approval by Poland’s competition authority.

Acrisure is involved in community and sports partnerships, including its role as official insurance partner for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club and shirt sponsor of the women’s team, The Blaze.
