Employers seeking a “soup to nuts” solution covering benefits, HR, payroll, workers’ compensation and retirement plans are expected to gain broader support following PT Business Solutions’ integration into Relation Insurance Services.
The transaction took effect October 31, 2025, and involved the acquisition of PT Business Solutions’ assets.
PT Business Solutions, based in South Pasadena, California, has served clients since 2003. It operates as a full-service provider of employee benefits, HR, payroll, workers’ compensation and group retirement plans.
“In 2020, we changed our name and our business model in response to clients increasingly looking for a ‘soup to nuts’ solution to help them attract and retain top talent while mitigating risks,” PT Business Solutions co-founder Raphy Timour said. “This latest change gives us nationwide resources and capabilities to meet their needs like never before. We’re excited to be part of Relation.”
Co-founder Chris Pontrelli pointed to continuity in the firm’s approach to client service.
“When we founded our company more than 22 years ago, it was with a passion for providing superior service and the idea that by getting to know our clients’ unique needs, we could deliver better solutions for both owners and their employees,” Pontrelli said. “Joining Relation is the next chapter in building upon that promise.”
Relation chief executive officer Tim Hall said PT Business Solutions will add capabilities to the organization’s service offering.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Chris, Raphy, and the team to Relation,” Hall said. “PT Business Solutions has been a trusted partner to their clients for decades, and we look forward to supporting them while also benefiting from the knowledge and capabilities they will add to our services. It’s a great fit.”
The move follows other Relation acquisitions disclosed in 2025, including Bridlewood Insurance, a Medicare-focused agency founded in San Diego, acquired effective August 1, 2025, and Advantage Insurance Group in El Reno, Oklahoma, acquired effective May 31, 2025. Relation also acquired True-Course Aviation Services Inc. in Camarillo, California, adding aviation risk services, and described Relation as a privately held brokerage backed by Aquiline Capital Partners.
