Relation Insurance Services has acquired the assets of Bridlewood Insurance Services, Inc., with the transaction taking effect on August 1. The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
Bridlewood Insurance Services, based in San Diego, California, focuses on Medicare-related insurance products. The agency offers Medicare A and B, Medicare Advantage (Part C), Medicare prescription drug (Part D), and Medicare supplemental plans.
Bridlewood has established a presence as a Medicare agency in the western United States and serves clients in several metropolitan areas nationwide.
Jeff Wetzel (pictured above), president and CEO of Bridlewood, founded the agency after observing the challenges his mother faced with Medicare enrollment. “I started Bridlewood to help people navigate the maze we call Medicare after I saw the confusion my mother went through once she became eligible,” Wetzel said.
He also said that joining Relation will allow Bridlewood to leverage national resources, carrier relationships, and service support to reach more individuals seeking Medicare guidance. Wetzel will continue to manage the San Diego office and will provide Medicare expertise throughout Relation’s operations.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Jeff and the Bridlewood team to Relation,” said Tim Hall, CEO of Relation. He said that Bridlewood brings industry leadership and experience, and that Relation anticipates growth and collaboration because of the acquisition.
Relation Insurance Services has been actively expanding its national footprint through multiple acquisitions in 2025. In July, the company acquired Advantage Insurance Solutions, an Oklahoma-based agency specializing in both personal and commercial insurance lines. This move was part of Relation’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the Midwest.
Earlier this year, Relation acquired TrueCourse Aviation Insurance, a Texas-based agency focused on aviation insurance. This transaction marked Relation’s entry into the aviation insurance sector and further diversified its specialty offerings.
