Inszone Insurance Services has strengthened its presence in Texas with the acquisition of Head Insurance, an independent agency based in Goldthwaite.
The move adds more than a century of local expertise to Inszone's growing national platform and underscores the firm's strategy of aligning with established agencies that have deep community roots.
Founded by W.D. Clements in 1919, Head Insurance serves the needs of local families and businesses. In the 1940s, G.C. Head joined as a partner and the agency became known as Clements & Head. For decades, the firm has provided personal and commercial coverage to clients in central Texas. Under the leadership of the current owner, Chip Head, the agency has upheld that tradition while adapting to a changing insurance market.
For Chip Head, the decision to join Inszone was about continuity and the future. He described Inszone’s leadership as both professional and personal, noting that the firm’s approach gave him confidence that his employees and clients would remain a priority. That emphasis on culture and relationships, he said, made the deal the right fit.
Chris Walters, chief executive officer of Inszone, highlighted the importance of agencies like Head Insurance in the company’s broader strategy.
“With over 100 years of history, deep roots in their community, and a strong focus on client relationships, Head Insurance represents exactly the kind of partner we seek,” he said. Walters added that the deal expands Inszone’s footprint in Texas while preserving a legacy of trusted service.
Clients of Head Insurance will continue working with their familiar agents but will also gain access to Inszone’s expanded carrier relationships, technology tools, and broader coverage options.
The Texas acquisition comes as part of a wider growth effort. Earlier this month, Inszone acquired Parker-Haskins Insurance in Kansas, adding crop insurance expertise and reinforcing its Midwest presence. The firm also entered Kentucky through the purchase of Lexington Insurance Agency, bringing a well-established regional broker into its network. Together, these transactions reflect Inszone’s approach of building scale in key markets while retaining the local identity of its partner agencies.
