Inszone Insurance Services has entered the Montana market with the acquisition of Rocky Mountain Insurance Group, LLC, a benefits-focused agency founded in 2006 by owner Gena Gaub (pictured above).
Based in Montana, Rocky Mountain Insurance Group concentrates on benefits and group health coverage. Gaub has led the firm for 17 years, developing a client base in the region.
“I’ve wanted to offer property and commercial lines to my clients. Joining with Inszone allows my agency to grow and offer new opportunities to current and future clients,” Gaub said.
Gaub said the match with Inszone’s approach helped drive the decision. “From my initial conversations it was evident that Inszone’s focus closely mirrored ours, prioritizing a shared commitment to clients,” she noted. “Inszone’s ability to grow and innovate made this partnership particularly appealing.”
Chris Walters, chief executive officer of Inszone Insurance Services, said the transaction adds capabilities to the company’s benefits operation.
“We are excited to welcome Rocky Mountain Insurance Group to Inszone. Their extensive experience in benefits and their exceptional client relationships significantly enhance our service capabilities and market presence,” Walters said.
Inszone said Rocky Mountain Insurance Group clients will gain access to expanded resources, a wider network of carrier relationships, and additional operational support while continuing to work with existing service teams. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Recent activity underscores Inszone’s national expansion cadence. In July, the firm acquired Beasy Insurance Services, a California personal lines agency, reflecting a strategy of adding targeted capabilities and reinforcing state footprints while integrating agencies under the Inszone brand.
Earlier moves also broadened its Southern California presence through the acquisition of Springbrook Insurance Agency, founded in 2006 and focused on commercial and non-profit accounts.
Across recent deals, acquired agencies have cited factors such as expanded market access, operational support, and succession planning as motivations to partner with Inszone.
This year, Inszone’s M&A activity has included new market entries and the addition of specialty expertise, indicating a continued focus on geographic reach and line-of-business depth alongside integration of local teams.
