Crum & Forster’s Accident & Health Division has launched C&F Employer Medical Gap Insurance, a supplemental health insurance product.
The coverage is designed to work alongside major medical plans, reducing out-of-pocket expenses for employees and providing brokers with a commissionable option for clients.
The plan is structured to complement high-deductible health plans and can be tailored to different employer benefit designs. It provides additional financial protection by covering many of the same services included in a company’s primary medical plan.
Optional riders are available for office visits, prescription drugs, and ambulance services. Employers can also set benefit, coinsurance, and deductible amounts based on their needs.
Tanya Arrowsmith (pictured above), senior vice president of the division’s Medical Business Unit, said that with healthcare expenses continuing to climb, employers are seeking ways to balance affordability and benefit offerings.
"Brokers, managing general underwriters, and managing general agents need relevant, responsive products from a carrier they can trust," she said. "With C&F's deep expertise and commitment to service, we're proud to offer a solution that delivers value to employers, employees and our distribution partners alike."
C&F Employer Medical Gap Insurance is underwritten by Monitor Life Insurance Company of New York. It is available in multiple states and can be customized for a wide range of employer groups.
Crum & Forster has also been expanding its product portfolio beyond traditional health solutions. Earlier this year, the company introduced a professional liability policy specifically designed for chief information security officers (CISOs).
This coverage responds to growing demand for protection against regulatory investigations and personal liability tied to cybersecurity incidents.
The company has also broadened its distribution footprint through partnerships with managing general agents. In March, C&F Accident & Health teamed up with Venbrook Group to launch international travel medical plans.
The collaboration is aimed at offering flexible medical coverage for employees traveling overseas.
