Several major leadership moves have been announced across the insurance industry in the last 24hrs.

The Hartford assigns Burns to lead enterprise distribution efforts

The Hartford has named Natalie Burns (pictured left) head of enterprise sales and distribution, effective May 1, reporting to Tracey Ant, head of middle and large business.

In the role, Burns will manage relationships with the company’s distribution partners and work with personal and business insurance and employee benefits sales teams across segments. She succeeds Stephen Screen, who now serves as head of alternative placement solutions within the global specialty unit under Adrien Robinson.

“Natalie is a proven leader with a deep understanding of our customers, distribution partners, and the evolving needs of the marketplace,” said Ant. “Her strategic mindset, operational excellence and unwavering commitment to our people make her exceptionally well-suited to lead our sales and distribution organization. Burns joined The Hartford in 2002 as an executive underwriter and has held roles across underwriting and distribution. Most recently, she led alternative distribution, overseeing middle and large business centers and the middle market underwriting center.

AXIS Capital installs Izzo to oversee global commercial direction

AXIS Capital Holdings Limited has appointed Anthony Izzo (pictured, center) chief commercial officer, reporting to Vince Tizzio, president and chief executive officer. He will be based in Red Bank and New York.

Izzo will oversee global commercial strategy and work with underwriting and regional leadership on broker and partner engagement and distribution strategy.

“Throughout his career, Tony has developed and grown strong commercial partnerships and mutually beneficial strategic relationships while driving disciplined growth across complex specialty markets,” said Tizzio. “His deep and varied experience across distribution, underwriting, and broking will be an asset to our team, as we continue to execute on our specialty leadership strategy and maximize how we bring our products and capabilities to the market.”

Izzo joins AXIS with 35 years of industry experience. He most recently served as EVP and group chief commercial officer at Everest and previously held senior roles at Guy Carpenter, TransRe, Aon Benfield and Willis Re.

Chubb names Rampe to direct worldwide claims operations

Chubb Limited said Kevin Rampe (pictured, right) has been named senior vice president, Chubb Group, global claims officer, with immediate effect, while continuing his role as head of North America claims.

Rampe will oversee claims management worldwide, including executive claims management, service and administration across the company’s claims network. He will report to Evan G. Greenberg, chairman and chief executive officer, and John Keogh, president and chief operating officer. In his North America capacity, he will report to Juan Luis Ortega.

"Kevin is an outstanding leader with a deep command of claims strategy, a proven ability to innovate, and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients," said Greenberg.

Keogh added, "Claims is the fundamental promise of what we sell in every insurance product, and our capabilities are a core and defining strength of this company. Kevin has my full trust in further enhancing the world-class experience we provide globally."

Rampe joined Chubb in 2005 as global compliance officer and later served as general counsel of North America and global deputy general counsel. He was named head of North America claims in 2021. Earlier roles include president and chairman of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, first deputy superintendent of the New York State Insurance Department, and first assistant counsel to former New York Gov. George E. Pataki.

Euclid Transactional rolls out promotions across underwriting, claims and operations

Euclid Transactional LLC has reported 47 role and title changes, including 21 senior-level promotions across underwriting, claims and operations in North America, Europe and Asia.

The firm operates from 11 offices across these regions. Since its founding in 2016, it has underwritten more than 9,700 policies tied to transactions with a combined value exceeding $8.5 trillion. Claims payments to insureds exceed $1 billion.

The promotions include executive-level, senior-level and junior- to mid-level roles. Among the executive changes, Justin Berutich has been named executive director, head of tax. Senior-level appointments span underwriting, tax, claims and operations, including roles such as managing director, senior vice president and deputy chief underwriting officer across North America, EMEA and APAC.
