Lockton has announced the return of Jeff Miller (pictured above, left) as national practice leader for its Stop Loss and Pharmacy teams, part of the firm’s People Solutions business.

Miller rejoins the company following leadership roles at Point6 Healthcare and Ryan Specialty Benefits. His earlier tenure at Lockton included senior oversight of various practice areas and involvement in acquisitions such as Excelsior Solutions.

Tim Meacham, president of People Solutions at Lockton, said Miller’s expertise will support the firm’s response to rising healthcare and pharmaceutical costs. Miller also held previous roles at Aetna, PacifiCare of Texas, Prudential, and BlueCross BlueShield of Oklahoma.

Protecdiv expands public sector practice with new EVP appointment

Protecdiv has appointed Tamika Puckett (pictured above, right) as executive vice president and leader of its public sector practice. Puckett joins from WTW, where she led the public sector division, and previously held senior risk roles at Zoom and the City of Chicago.

In her new role, Puckett will oversee risk management solutions for federal, state, and municipal clients. Protecdiv CEO Kael Coleman said Puckett’s background across both public and private sectors positions her to strengthen the firm’s public sector offerings.

UIBL hires associate director to boost North American marine business

United Insurance Brokers Limited (UIBL) has appointed Sean Scales as associate director in its marine division. Scales will focus on North American cargo and stock throughput, bringing experience from several years with Lloyd’s brokers.

Shaun Barrington, CEO of UIBL, said the hire is part of the firm's strategy to enhance its capabilities in the North American market. David Waller, deputy managing director of the marine division, said Scales’ appointment reflects UIBL’s commitment to attracting experienced talent.

NFP adds music industry specialist in the UK

NFP, an Aon company, has named Martin Alsop as managing director in the UK. Alsop will lead the development of NFP’s music industry practice through Clay GBP, a business management consultancy recently acquired by NFP and now part of Ground Control Business Management. Ground Control offers business and tax services to high-net-worth individuals, including entertainers and athletes.

Alsop brings more than two decades of experience advising UK and international touring artists. He previously held roles at Live Nation Entertainment and accountancy firm Dales Evans & Co. Ltd.

Chris Bucci, CEO of Ground Control, said Alsop’s appointment supports the firm’s goal to expand its services within the music and touring segment. Clay GBP is expected to operate under the Ground Control brand following full integration.
