Several leading companies in the insurance and risk management sector have made significant leadership appointments to strengthen their teams and expand their expertise.
CRC Group has added three professionals to its CRC specialty team: Matt O’Daniel (pictured left), Tanya Jacobus (pictured center) and Nick Marsh (pictured right).
O’Daniel joins as a senior broker with 14 years of experience, having previously been a vice president at a leading wholesale brokerage.
Jacobus, now a property broker at CRC Specialty’s Dallas office, brings 12 years of experience in the industry. He has previously worked in a similar role with a prominent wholesale distributor.
Meanwhile, Marsh, with over 20 years of experience, joins as senior underwriting team leader in Boise, Idaho, specializing in transportation. He previously worked as a Transportation underwriter with a wholesale brokerage firm.

King Risk has appointed Joel Eubank (pictured immediately above, left) as chief operating officer, effective April 2025. Eubank brings over 20 years of experience in finance, operations and strategic leadership, having most recently served as COO and CFO at Brown & Brown Insurance.
His leadership is expected to support King Risk Partners as it scales operations, executes acquisitions, and strengthens industry partnerships.
AmTrust Financial Services has named Bruce Shuman (pictured immediately above, right) as new chief marketing officer.
Shuman, who brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance and financial services sectors, will lead the company’s marketing strategy to strengthen its brand and market presence. Before joining AmTrust, Shuman was the chief digital officer at The Hartford, where he led digital initiative across all business lines.

Lockton has appointed Ethan Crain (pictured immediately above, left) and Rebecca Cady (pictured immediately above, right) to co-lead its national healthcare practice.
Crain, formerly with Marsh, brings over 25 years of experience working with healthcare clients, while Cady, a former chief risk officer at Children’s National Hospital, has extensive expertise in healthcare legal and risk management.
Sompo has appointed Nicholas Walsh as independent non-executive chairman of the company’s board.
Walsh, who has over 50 years of experience in the insurance industry, succeeds James Shea, who was recently appointed CEO of Sompo P&C. He previously held senior roles at AIG and served as an independent director for several international boards.
Additionally, Monica Cramér Manhem and Yoshihiro Uotani have been appointed to the board, strengthening its expertise in underwriting, risk management, and international markets.
Canopius, a global specialty insurer, has appointed Neetu Varghese as head of Marine in the US. Varghese, who previously served as national cargo manager, will lead the company's marine insurance strategy in the US.
The company aims to expand its marine offerings in response to growing market demands and Varghese’s expertise will support the company’s efforts.
