The hub, located at 1111 Brickell Ave., 10th Floor, will provide facultative reinsurance and commercial insurance solutions across property, construction, natural resources, entertainment, financial lines, marine, and multinational services, according to a news release.
The Miami operation supports business in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico while expanding reinsurance into Chile, Peru, Ecuador, and Panama.
Guilherme Bizzo relocated from Brazil in December to lead the regional office as managing director, overseeing multinational and alternative risk transfer operations. Allianz noted Bizzo co-led the hub project from its inception.
Meanwhile, Angelica Torres heads the facultative desk, coordinating placements and managing broker relationships. Eduardo Fontes leads regional distribution strategy across Latin America.
Felipe Orsi, who relocated from Brazil in December, leads property operations and property facultative reinsurance strategy. Ivan Coronado oversees natural resources and construction risks across power generation, oil and gas, renewables, heavy industries, and construction sectors.
Monica Oyaga will relocate from Colombia in early 2026 to head long-tail operations, directing underwriting strategy across financial lines, cyber, entertainment, and other long-tail solutions.
Daniel Castrillon, relocated from Colombia in December, serves as chief technical officer, leading technical operations and risk assessment frameworks.
The Miami leadership team works closely with Gabriela Rosa in Brazil and Diego Reppetti in Argentina, who complete the regional leadership structure from their local bases.
“Having our leadership team in place ahead of our official February launch demonstrates our commitment to Latin America and the Americas region as a whole,” said David Colmenares, managing director for Latin America at Allianz Commercial. “This team combines deep local market knowledge with global capabilities, positioning us to deliver exceptional value to our broker partners and clients.”
Colmenares said the hub strengthens the company’s ability to serve the region’s insurance needs.
The official opening ceremony of the new hub will take place in February during Miami Reinsurance Week.
