Aon plc has appointed Tom Anderson (pictured above) as Head of Professional Services for its Global Broking Centre (GBC) in London.
Anderson, who joined Aon in 2023 to lead the Design and Construction Professional Indemnity team, will now oversee strategic advisory, operational efficiency, and client service delivery across broking activities for Professional Services in the GBC.
In his new role, Anderson is tasked with leading the centre’s broking operations, focusing on delivering advisory services and improving operational processes. He will also be responsible for ensuring high standards in client service for the professional services sector.
John Brosnan, Head of Financial & Professional Services Group at Aon, commented on the appointment, stating, “This appointment underscores the growing momentum within Aon’s broking capabilities and reflect our commitment to the 3x3 strategy, driving smarter, faster, and more scalable solutions through increased investment in the future of risk and human capital.”
Brosnan added that he looks forward to working with Anderson in his new capacity and expressed confidence in Anderson’s ability to enhance Aon’s delivery of client solutions.
Aon has made a series of leadership changes this year as part of its ongoing strategy. Eric Andersen stepped down as president and now serves as a senior adviser to chief executive officer Greg Case. John Neal, former CEO of Lloyd’s, is set to join Aon as global CEO of reinsurance and global chairman of climate solutions.
In addition, Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions unit appointed Tony DeMarco as managing director for reinsurance. DeMarco brings expertise in casualty and professional lines, and will focus on designing and executing casualty placements for clients. The company has also expanded its senior bench in Asia Pacific and the United States.
These appointments are part of Aon’s broader strategy to align its risk capital and human capital capabilities, as well as to advance its 3x3 Plan.
