Gallagher Re has expanded its France and BeLux operations with the addition of 14 new team members since the beginning of the year, according to an announcement from the company.
The new hires join the firm’s France, Belgium, and Luxembourg (BeLux) team as Gallagher Re prepares for the upcoming renewal season.
“Our new joiners bring exceptional talent, new energy, and wider perspectives to serve our clients’ needs,” Gallagher Re said in a statement. The firm added that the expanded team will work alongside existing staff to support clients and advance the company’s development in the region.
The appointments include senior leadership and specialist roles. Emmanuel Dubreuil (pictured above) has been named chair of France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, while Nicolas Rincé will serve as directeur général for the same region.
The team also includes Mathieu Loisel, head of EMEA casualty and motor, and several senior brokers in property and casualty (P&C), including Julie Gigleux, Nicolas Daxhelet, Nizar Farhat, and Oscar Allitt.
Other new team members include Thomas Meerman, senior broker for life, and brokers in P&C such as Julien Mattei, Zouhir Driouache, and Arnaud Boulard. The group is further supported by Chantal Hari, catastrophe analyst, and actuaries Quentin Emery and Arnaud Chabanier.
Gallagher Re’s recent expansion in France and BeLux is part of a broader wave of appointments and leadership changes across its global operations.
In May, the company announced that James Vickers, chairman of Gallagher Re International, has retired after a 47-year career in the reinsurance industry. Vickers played a key role in overseeing the firm’s international operations and expanding its network across more than 30 countries.
In addition, Gallagher Re has made strategic appointments in other regions. The firm named Kesavchandran Nair as director of special risks and crisis management, based in Dubai, where he will lead initiatives in specialty risk areas and support the company’s regional expansion.
Gallagher Re has also expanded its life and health reinsurance business in Asia with two key appointments: Sanjeeb Kumar as chairman of life and health, India, and Addise Li as head of life and health reinsurance for China and Hong Kong.
