Aon has appointed Anshuman Srivastava (pictured above) as its global chief broking officer for reinsurance. Srivastava will be based in London and report to George Attard, global head of strategy for reinsurance.
Srivastava has held several senior leadership positions at Aon, including serving on the Global ReSpecialty executive management committee. He has contributed to the firm’s Reinsurance Growth Leadership and Broking Strategies initiatives.
In his new capacity, Srivastava will work with reinsurers to deliver scalable products and align the risk appetite of key trading partners with the needs of Aon’s re/insurer clients. His responsibilities include supporting optimal placement outcomes and providing access to differentiated capacity.
Srivastava will also leverage global insights and advanced data and analytics to help develop capital solutions that support clients’ growth strategies.
“As we navigate an evolving reinsurance landscape, our clients are increasingly focused on sustainable reinsurer relationships, choosing strategic partners rather than simply capacity providers,” Attard said. “We are delighted to welcome Anshuman into his new role where he will play a pivotal role in aligning reinsurers and broader capital providers with the diverse and changing needs of existing and new clients.”
Aon has also made several appointments to strengthen its reinsurance and analytics capabilities this year. In September, the firm named Chulan Zhan as senior consultant in the Reinsurance Strategy and Technology Group (STG) – Modelling team within Aon Life Solutions, based in Singapore.
Zhan is responsible for the development and business growth of PathWise, Aon’s actuarial modeling platform, and brings experience from Pacific Life Re, where she supported pricing and quotations across multiple Asian markets.
The company introduced a new leadership structure within its reinsurance solutions division this year, appointing Alfonso Valera as CEO of international for reinsurance, Steve Hofmann as CEO of Americas for reinsurance, George Attard as global head of strategy for reinsurance, and Tomas Novotny as chairman of international for reinsurance.
In April, Aon also named Soeren Soltysiak as Asia CEO for reinsurance solutions, where he now leads strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, including treaty, facultative, analytics, and operations. The firm also promoted Musa Adlan to managing director for Asia and expanded its life and health reinsurance leadership, further strengthening its presence in the region.
