InsuranceTek has joined the Ausure authorised representative (AR) network, marking principal broker Mark Adams’ return to the general insurance broking market in Western Australia.

Adams entered broking in 2006 with a small firm in Subiaco, Western Australia. He completed a Diploma of Insurance Broking in 2009 and later became an AR with Westcourt General, which was subsequently brought into the Steadfast network. During that period, he and his team developed a portfolio that included several scheme arrangements that became central to the business. He stepped away from broking in 2022 to help his wife establish a boutique liquor store, before choosing to re-enter the industry under the InsuranceTek brand. The brokerage has now joined Ausure to access its technology, insurer relationships, and central support. Reflecting on his return, Adams said: “I’m excited to be back in my element, and to re-establish working relationships I’d previously built. The Ausure systems and support structure are easily the best I’ve seen, and I feel I can really focus on profitable business growth.”

Ausure general manager of business development Adam Sloan said Adams’s background and approach aligned with what the group looks for in ARs. “We’re excited to welcome Mark to the Ausure network as he builds InsuranceTek. Mark brings a strong personal reputation, extensive industry experience, and a clear focus on doing business the right way. His values, approach to client service, and long-term mindset align closely with the culture we have across the Ausure group. We’re looking forward to supporting Mark as he establishes InsuranceTek and grows the business with confidence and purpose,” Sloan said.

InsuranceTek’s portfolio will span building and construction, business, commercial motor and fleet, farm, landlords, personal accident, plant and machinery, professional indemnity, public liability, retail and hospitality, and tradie cover, along with selected domestic risks. Adams aims to rebuild referral channels and develop repeat business from existing clients.

EIB Melbourne extends Ausure’s reach in Victoria

InsuranceTek is one of several brokerages to link with Ausure in 2025. In Victoria, EIB Melbourne Insurance Services has joined the group as an AR, adding another intermediary focused on commercial lines, liability, and private clients in the Greater Melbourne area. EIB Melbourne was formed in 2023 to serve business owners and individuals with both commercial and personal insurance. The firm places business packages, management liability, professional indemnity, and private client business.

WEBFIS adds commercial and private client depth

Ausure has also appointed WEB Financial & Insurance Services (WEBFIS) as an AR, bringing in a brokerage with offices in Sydney’s CBD, southern Sydney, and Guangzhou, China, and an established focus on commercial and high-net-worth clients. Founded in 2005, WEBFIS arranges business and commercial property cover, professional indemnity, and management liability, as well as prestige motor, luxury home, and other private client insurance.

McRae Insurance Services and Lion Insurance Services

Alongside these metropolitan and specialist brokerages, Ausure has moved to expand its presence in regional and niche markets, starting 2025 with the appointments of McRae Insurance Services in Horsham, Victoria, and Lion Insurance Services in Adelaide, South Australia.

McRae Insurance Services traces its origins to Bob McRae & Associates, later Carr McRae & Associates, a brokerage with a long-standing focus on farm, motor trade, and domestic clients. In 1998, Grant McRae became a partner after roles with GRE, Agostino Pearson, and VACC Insurance. The current McRae Insurance Services entity was formed when Grant separated the broking operation from Carr McRae & Associates. His son Jack joined the earlier partnership in 2018, became a director of McRae Insurance Services in 2023, and is joined by broker Niketa Kilpatrick, who started in 2024.

Lion Insurance Services was set up in 2015 within the Lion Consulting Group, initially as an extension to a liquor licensing consultancy serving hospitality venues. Over time, its insurance activity has developed into a general insurance brokerage with clients across multiple industries.
