Raj Kalahasthi is a transformational technology executive with over 20 years of experience leading enterprise scale digital transformations and scaling up businesses across the insurance and financial services sectors.
As the first Chief Digital & Information Officer at The Baldwin Group, Raj built the technology function from the ground up, integrated 35+ acquisitions into a unified digital ecosystem, and launched embedded insurance—helping the firm scale from a regional broker to a $1.4B national leader.
Previously, Raj served as CIO for Comerica Bank’s Retail, Treasury, and Wealth divisions and held senior technology roles at Citigroup, HSBC, and GE and led major digital transformation and modernization initiatives in global settings.
His visionary leadership and business outcomes also was recognized with National ORBIE CIO of the year in 2025 in the Large Corporate category.
Raj actively engages in the business community by serving on advisory boards of product companies and mentors start-ups and Insurtechs.
He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in information technology from BITS-Pilani and IIIT-B in India and an MBA from the University of Michigan – Ross School of Business.
