Garrett was named the Fintech and Digital Asset Vertical Leader for WTW in 2026. He is a recognized expert in fintech and digital asset risk. A former tech founder and VC, he brings technical fluency rare in the insurance industry. Garrett’s role is to support growth and client experience for WTW’s fintech, digital asset, and traditional financial institutional clients over North America. His 20 years in the insurance industry has been exclusively focused on complex technology risk. His expertise is in Technology and FI Errors &Omissions, Cyber, Crime/Fidelity, and Specie lines.
Prior to joining WTW, Garrett launched the digital asset practice for a large national brokerage, as well as served as their head of innovation and corporate venture capital studio. He also co-founded a web3 project called web3Labs, which was built to bring blockchain technology into the insurance ecosystem. Garrett is a strategic advisor to many emerging blockchain and AI startups and remains an active angel investor. Other roles include serving as the chief executive officer for a global technology risk broker network.
Garrett is a sought-after keynote speaker for his foundational work in digital asset insurance. He also acts as an advisor to the United States Department of the Treasury and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency regarding new and upcoming regulations of stablecoins and digital currencies.
