Starwind Specialty Insurance Services, a division of CRC Group, has announced the rebrand of its 5Star Workers’ Compensation unit, now operating under the name Starwind WC.

The rebrand includes a new name, updated logo and refreshed website, signaling a shift in how the business presents its services and capabilities to the market.

The unit has provided workers’ compensation solutions for more than 30 years. While its name has changed, Starwind WC will continue offering a range of workers’ compensation products to employers and retail agents across the US, including guaranteed cost programs and excess coverage for qualified self-insureds.

“This rebrand reflects our continued commitment to delivering service, technology, underwriting proficiency and competitive solutions for our partners,” said Kunal Gulati, executive vice president of Starwind Specialty.

Starwind WC said it will continue to provide access to A-rated carriers, proprietary programs and streamlined digital tools that support quoting, submission intake and policy issuance. The business also offers compensation structures and underwriting support tailored to retail agent needs.

Starwind Specialty is part of CRC Group, one of the largest wholesale insurance distributors in North America. CRC Group delivers specialty insurance solutions through a network of brokers, underwriters and managing general agents. The company places over $35 billion in premium annually and works with more than 5,300 retail agencies and 450 carriers.

The rebranding of the workers’ compensation unit is part of a broader positioning strategy under the Starwind Specialty platform, which focuses on program business and niche markets. In addition to workers’ compensation, Starwind Specialty’s programs span multiple lines, including transportation, hospitality, and healthcare.

The company said the rebrand is not expected to affect existing relationships with carriers or distribution partners. The change is aimed at unifying its brand under the Starwind name and supporting long-term growth.

Starwind WC continues to focus on underwriting discipline, market access, and operational tools to support agent partners across the country.
