Ivans has introduced a new data-driven pricing intelligence tool, called Benchmarks, designed to give insurers a clearer view of market pricing trends and support more informed underwriting decisions. 

The launch was announced at Ivans Connect 2025, the company's annual event focused on insurance technology and digital transformation, where Ivans also recognized this year's Spark Award winners for leadership in digital connectivity.

Benchmarks is the latest addition to the Ivans Insights suite, which already includes Marketing Insights, a platform that helps carriers strengthen agency distribution strategies. The new tool aggregates bound policy data from across the market to provide insurers with a real-world picture of premium movements. It enables carriers to compare their rates against competitors, identify growth opportunities, and fine-tune pricing to improve profitability and retention.

The first release of Benchmarks focuses on homeowners and dwelling fire policies, with plans to expand into additional lines of business in the coming months. 

By drawing from what Ivans claims is the industry's largest dataset of in-force policies, the platform delivers insights into how premiums are shifting between new and renewal business.

The timing of the launch reflects growing demand for better pricing intelligence in a market defined by inflationary pressures, higher reinsurance costs and tighter underwriting discipline. Insurers are increasingly turning to analytics and AI-driven tools to refine pricing strategies and respond more dynamically to market changes.

According to Kathy Hrach (pictured above), senior vice president of product management at Ivans, the new capability addresses a long-standing challenge for insurers, including access to reliable and comparative data to evaluate pricing trends across the industry. Ivans is positioning Benchmarks as a tool that can help insurers capture market share, strengthen retention, and design products.
