Applied Systems announced a series of new innovations within its Applied Insurance AI suite at the company’s annual user conference for independent agents.
The Applied Insurance AI platform is designed to deliver connected, intelligent workflows across the insurance lifecycle, including sales, marketing, policy management, submissions, servicing, and financial management.
The company also introduced new Cytora-powered technologies that leverage advanced AI to extract and understand information from any data source, with the ability to autofill data directly into agency management systems.
Applied said that it positions its AI suite as purpose-built for the insurance sector, drawing on more than 40 years of industry experience, widely used agency management systems such as Applied Epic and EZLynx, and the Ivans carrier connectivity network.
In line with its AI strategy, Applied Systems recently acquired Cytora, a digital risk processing platform. This acquisition enhanced automation and connectivity across the policy lifecycle by integrating Cytora’s AI-enabled risk digitization capabilities with Applied’s software suite.
Applied also noted that its AI-powered reconciliation tool, Applied Recon, now achieves over 99% accuracy in commission calculations.
According to Applied, these data assets and specialized AI engineering teams enable the company to address complex insurance workflows and reduce administrative burdens for agencies.
“The next era of insurance will be defined by experiences that are faster, smarter, and more personal for every customer,” said Taylor Rhodes (pictured above), chief executive officer at Applied Systems. Rhodes added that insurance AI will introduce new capabilities to improve insurance work and that Applied is “leading the charge, equipping agencies with intelligent technology that elevates the human connection at the heart of insurance.”
During the conference, Applied Systems also presented its annual Pinnacle Awards, which recognize agencies, carriers, and industry partners that have demonstrated effective use of Applied technology to advance digital insurance processes.
The 2025 Pinnacle Award winners are:
“The Intelligent Insurance Era is here, bringing the value of AI into daily workflows across the Digital Roundtrip of Insurance to reshape how our industry operates,” Rhodes said.
He noted that the award recipients exemplify how organizations can use innovation to create more connected and resilient insurance experiences.
