Patriot Growth Insurance Services, LLC has entered a partnership with Herrmann Insurance Agencies, a full-service insurance agency based in Rapid City, S.D.
The move brings together Patriot’s national resources and Herrmann’s established presence in the Black Hills region.
Herrmann Insurance, founded in 1980 by Donald Herrmann, has expanded from its origins as a life and health insurance provider to offer a comprehensive range of products. The agency, now led by Principal Laccen Herrmann, provides home, auto, commercial, health, and life insurance to individuals, families, and businesses in the area.
Laccen Herrmann said the partnership with Patriot is a significant development for the agency and its clients.
“It allows us to continue offering the high-touch service we are known for, while expanding our ability to deliver innovative solutions and competitive options. We're confident this partnership will create tremendous value for the clients and community we serve,” Herrmann said.
Both organizations indicated that the agency will continue to operate under its current leadership and maintain its community ties.
Steve Carroll (pictured above), chief acquisition officer of Patriot, commented on the partnership, noting Herrmann Insurance’s reputation in the region.

Patriot has continued its expansion strategy this year, acquiring agencies in specialized sectors such as marine and aviation. Recent transactions include the addition of Brennan & Company, a Savannah-based agency focused on commercial marine insurance, and Ladd Gardner Aviation Insurance, which specializes in aviation risk.
Patriot’s recent partnership with Prospera Risk Advisors, a Texas-based agency formed from the merger of four firms, has strengthened its presence in the South-Central US. Prospera brings nine offices and about 80 employees to the Patriot network, further expanding the company’s reach and resources.
