Skyward has entered a multi-year exclusive partnership with USA Rugby, serving as the exclusive insurance partner and official front-of-jersey sponsor for all national teams.

The deal covers the Women’s and Men’s Eagles (XV), the Women’s and Men’s Eagles Sevens, and both developmental teams.

The agreement comes as rugby gains momentum in the United States, supported by rising participation and upcoming major events on US soil, including the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, the Men’s Rugby World Cup in 2031 and the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2033.

Skyward Group operates through its market-facing brands Skyward Specialty Insurance Group and Apollo. Skyward was launched as a unified holding company on Jan. 1, 2026, following the acquisition of Apollo Group Holdings.

Skyward Specialty and Apollo continue to operate under their individual brands while the new structure supports coordinated growth across specialty insurance lines.

Skyward Group Chairman and CEO Andrew Robinson said: “There is no more exciting time for Skyward as we expand our global footprint and equally no more exciting time for USA Rugby as they grow in the US. USA Rugby is on the rise, and together we are building momentum. Rugby is a sport built on elite talent and precise execution, values that mirror how we compete and operate every day.”

USA Rugby CEO Bill Goren described the partnership as a major landmark for the growth of rugby in the USA.

He added that Skyward’s ties to the sport and its role as an innovator in the industry make it the right partner as the organization prepares for the 2031 and 2033 World Cups.

The partnership arrives as Skyward reports strong financial performance. In the fourth quarter of 2025, the company posted net income of $43.2 million, with gross written premiums rising 13.2% to $439.5 million. Full-year 2025 net income reached $170.0 million.

USA Rugby oversees more than 130,000 members, with college rugby forming the largest segment at over 32,000. The organization manages around 1,200 high school teams, 900 college teams and hundreds of senior clubs. Youth and high school registrations have shown double-digit growth in recent years.

The broader US rugby landscape continues to benefit from structured development and World Rugby’s long-term support, though the sport still operates in a highly competitive American market.

Fans will first see Skyward branding on team kits in April. The Women’s Eagles will wear the updated jerseys during the Pacific Four Series, with matches scheduled in Sacramento on April 11, Kansas City on April 17 and Chicago on April 24.

The Men’s and Women’s Eagles Sevens will debut the sponsorship at the Hong Kong Sevens from April 17 to 19.
