Two major insurance distributors have announced leadership hires aimed at strengthening their positions in key regional markets.
CRC Benefits, a division of CRC Group, has named Mike Meirowitz (pictured above) as benefits sales executive on its professional employer organization (PEO) team. Based in Naples, Florida, Meirowitz will work with brokers to help businesses address HR and healthcare challenges.
With more than 10 years of experience in employee benefits, including leadership roles, Meirowitz has been recognised for his performance in exceeding sales targets and will focus on strengthening CRC’s broker partnerships in the PEO space.
Burns & Wilcox has reinforced its Michigan operations with the appointment of Taras Shalay as associate managing director, alongside a new professional liability and commercial team.
Shalay, who previously spent five years with Burns & Wilcox, returns with nearly two decades of experience in specialty insurance and professional liability. He most recently served as senior vice president for the Midwest region at Jencap.
Joining Shalay are four professionals who will focus on clients across Michigan while coordinating with colleagues throughout the Midwest: Tyler Hayden, broker; Chantal Grumski, senior commercial lines broker; Andre Bridges, senior commercial lines underwriter; and Maria Rojo, senior associate broker.
