Insurance Business America (IBA) has published its 11th annual Hot 100 list, highlighting 100 US insurance professionals that have had a measurable impact on the sector over the past year. The 2026 cohort spans carriers, brokerages, wholesalers, specialty markets, legal and advisory firms, and insurance services providers.
IBA opened nominations for the 2026 Hot 100 in July 2025, inviting insurance professionals across the US to put forward individuals they viewed as having made significant contributions over the preceding year. Nominations were accepted from all segments of the industry, including carriers, retail and wholesale brokers, MGAs and MGUs, insurtechs, service providers, and legal and regulatory specialists.
After the nomination period closed, IBA’s editorial team reviewed hundreds of submissions. The publication then narrowed the field to 100 professionals based on factors such as market influence, leadership responsibilities, innovation in products or processes, and contributions to distribution strategies or client solutions.
The final list includes both long-tenured executives and emerging leaders in senior roles. The group reflects a range of organization sizes and structures – from large national and global platforms to specialized firms and niche market players.
