Relation Insurance Services has acquired the assets of Engle and Associates Insurance Brokers, with the transaction taking effect on May 1. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Engle and Associates is a family-owned insurance brokerage that has operated for over 45 years, offering a broad portfolio of insurance products, including commercial, home, auto, life, and health coverage. Following the acquisition, the firm will continue operating under the leadership of owners Scott Engle and Jayne Engle Allen.
As part of the Relation group, Engle and Associates will gain access to additional operational resources and insurance expertise. The acquisition is expected to integrate new technology tools and carrier relationships into Engle’s existing operations.
Jayne Engle Allen said the new partnership with Relation will expand their access to internal specialties and broaden the range of solutions offered to clients.
Tim Hall (pictured above), CEO of Relation Insurance Services, also said the acquisition adds decades of market knowledge and client service experience to the Relation team.
“Their understanding and specialization in business insurance, workers’ compensation insurance, specialty insurance, and personal insurance bring a wealth of knowledge to our team,” Hall said.
Engle and Associates serves clients in the San Luis Obispo area and is expected to continue local operations while being integrated into Relation’s national platform.
Relation has been actively expanding its footprint through a series of strategic acquisitions. Earlier this year, the company acquired True-Course Aviation Insurance Services, a California-based firm specializing in aviation risk solutions, marking its 76th acquisition to date.
Other notable acquisitions include Forest Insurance Agency in Illinois, Business Aviation Insurance Services in California, and York Insurance Services in Maryland.
The company now boasts approximately 1,350 employees across more than 137 locations nationwide. Its offices span various states, including California, North Carolina, and Connecticut, reflecting a diverse and widespread presence.
