NEXT Insurance has unveiled a new brand identity as ERGO NEXT Insurance, marking the company's integration with ERGO, the primary insurance company of Munich Re.

The updated identity follows Munich Re's international expansion strategy, which brought NEXT under the ERGO umbrella. The combined entity pairs Munich Re's financial backing with NEXT's digital insurance platform.

ERGO Group AG completed its $2.6 billion acquisition of NEXT Insurance in Q3 2025. Prior to the transaction, ERGO already held a 29% stake in the company.

Munich Re has framed the deal as a strategic fit within its broader effort to expand its primary insurance footprint. The acquisition is expected to contribute to ERGO's net results in the mid-triple-digit million-dollar range over the medium term.

Joon-Soo Kim, VP of marketing at ERGO NEXT, said the visual alignment reflects the company's current structure.

"By visually aligning our brands, we're ensuring our identity reflects both the strong foundation of ERGO and Munich Re and the digital-first experience that NEXT brings to small commercial insurance," Kim said.

The company said it will continue to offer digital quoting and binding for small business coverage. ERGO NEXT is also positioning itself as a carrier that supports agents operating in complex risk environments.

Chief product officer Effi Fuks-Leichtag described the rebrand as a turning point for the organization. "ERGO NEXT has reached a pivotal point in its evolution," Fuks-Leichtag said.

She added that with ERGO's backing, the company is focused on accelerating platform development so that agents and small businesses can operate faster and plan for the long term.

The visual rebrand is now live across ERGO NEXT's digital channels, including its website, social media, and brand communications. A broader rollout is scheduled over the coming months.

The company indicated that the new identity sets the stage for upcoming initiatives aimed at strengthening agent partnerships. ERGO NEXT said it plans to invest in tools, services, and partnerships that support agents at various stages of growth.
