Inszone Insurance Services, a national provider of commercial, personal and employee benefits insurance, has acquired Huffmaster Insurance, an independent agency based in Monett, Missouri.
The move strengthens Inszone’s presence in the Midwest and follows the firm’s recent expansion in the Pacific Northwest.
Founded in 1990 by Susan and Kevin Huffmaster, Huffmaster Insurance has provided a range of personal and commercial insurance solutions, including home, auto, recreational vehicle, agribusiness, and business coverage.
The acquisition aligns with the Huffmasters’ decision to retire, and the choice of Inszone was based on a desire to maintain continuity for staff and clients.
“We were looking for a partner that shares our values and would take care of our employees and clients,” said Susan Huffmaster. “Inszone not only understood that but also offered the support and benefits we were looking for.”
Chris Walters, CEO of Inszone Insurance Services, said the acquisition reinforces the company’s growth strategy. “Huffmaster Insurance brings strong regional expertise and a loyal client base. We’re pleased to welcome them to the Inszone family as we continue to build our presence in the Midwest.”
The Huffmaster team will remain with Inszone to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the agency’s service standards. Clients will also gain access to an expanded portfolio of insurance carriers and resources through Inszone’s national platform.
The Huffmaster acquisition follows Inszone’s recent purchase of Eagle Harbor Insurance, based in Bainbridge Island, Washington. That agency, founded in 1998, has served the local community for more than two decades. Tom Sawyer, who joined Eagle Harbor in 2005 and became its owner in 2013, led the firm through years of growth and client service before choosing to join Inszone as part of his own succession planning.
Together, the acquisitions reflect Inszone’s ongoing strategy to grow its footprint while integrating established agencies with deep local ties.
