Inszone Insurance Services, a national provider of commercial, personal and benefits insurance, has acquired Eagle Harbor Insurance, an established agency based in Bainbridge Island, Washington. The acquisition adds to Inszone’s growing presence in the Pacific Northwest.
Eagle Harbor Insurance was founded in 1998 and has served the Bainbridge Island community for more than two decades. Tom Sawyer, who joined the firm in 2005 and became its owner in 2013, has overseen the agency’s development and longstanding client relationships.
Sawyer said the decision to sell was based on a combination of timing and alignment of values. “After over 20 years in the industry, I felt it was the right time for a transition,” he said. “Among the options I reviewed, Inszone stood out for its focus on supporting staff, maintaining our local presence, and offering a broader platform for client service.”
With the acquisition, Eagle Harbor’s team will continue to serve clients from their current location, now with access to Inszone’s broader range of insurance solutions. The firm’s operations will be integrated into Inszone’s platform, which continues to grow through targeted acquisitions and market expansion.
Chris Walters, CEO of Inszone Insurance Services, said the company’s approach is designed to ensure continuity for both clients and employees.
“We are pleased to welcome Eagle Harbor Insurance to the Inszone team,” Walters said. “Tom’s emphasis on client relationships and staff well-being reflects the values we look for in agency partners. Our goal is to build on that foundation with expanded resources and operational support.”
This latest deal is part of a broader strategy by Inszone to strengthen its national footprint by partnering with regional agencies that have deep ties to their communities. The company now operates in multiple states and continues to seek opportunities that align with its focus on service and sustainable growth.
