Two insurance firms have announced senior leadership changes aimed at expanding their advisory and distribution capabilities.

MSIG USA appoints leader of Central Region distribution

MSIG USA has named Laura Meade (pictured above) as central region distribution leader as part of its ongoing investment in regional leadership.

She will report to Joseph Fitzpatrick, head of distribution, and will focus on strengthening broker relationships and aligning growth strategies with the company’s broader specialty insurance goals.

Meade has 18 years of experience spanning risk management, brokerage and insurance leadership. She most recently served as director of risk management at TDS, where she led insurance programs and contributed to enterprise risk and cyber incident response planning.

“Laura Meade brings a unique combination of client perspective, brokerage expertise, and operational depth,” said Fitzpatrick. “She understands the Central region's dynamics and has a strong ability to connect our underwriting strengths to the needs of brokers and clients alike.”

WTW hires senior director in ICT unit

WTW has appointed Gary Finkelstein as senior director within its Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business.

Based in London, he will support the firm’s efforts to expand its transaction, structuring and advisory services to re/insurers and private equity investors operating in the insurance space.

Finkelstein has more than three decades of experience in the UK and international life insurance and reinsurance sectors. His expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, financial structuring, capital management, asset-liability management and risk management. He has held senior roles at EY, Milliman and Reinsurance Group of America.

Prior to joining WTW, Finkelstein served as interim head of Corporate Transactions Risk and group head of Structured Finance at Phoenix Group and worked as a consulting advisor to an alternative asset management firm.

“Gary’s vast industry knowledge and long-standing expertise... make him a global market leader with an excellent track record in business development,” said Tammy Richardson, ICT managing director and European Regional Leader at WTW.
