Several insurers and intermediaries have announced senior appointments and promotions.

USAA appoints president of USAA Life Insurance Company

USAA has appointed Rob Arena as president of USAA Life Insurance Company, effective January 5, 2026.

Arena (pictured, left) brings more than 30 years of experience in life insurance, retirement solutions and asset management, alongside a strong personal connection to USAA’s mission.

He most recently served as co-president at Global Atlantic Financial Group and has also held senior leadership roles at The Hartford and Prudential. USAA CEO Juan Andrade said Arena’s appointment will strengthen the company’s ability to deliver life and retirement solutions while driving growth and innovation.

Arena, a USAA member for over three decades, said he was honoured to take on the role and sees the opportunity to help military families achieve financial security as greater than ever.

Inszone names president

Inszone Insurance Services has appointed Geoff Hatfield as president, reporting directly to CEO Chris Walters.

Hatfield brings over 20 years of experience in insurance brokerage and risk management, with a background in mergers and acquisitions, organic growth, and producer development.

Walters said Hatfield’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment as Inszone expands across the Midwest and Eastern US Hatfield said he looks forward to working with the leadership team to strengthen client relationships and unlock opportunities nationwide.

Hippo appoints chief data officer

Hippo has named Robin Gordon (pictured, right) as chief data officer to lead its data & analytics function. Gordon will focus on predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI to advance risk management and long-term growth.

CEO Rick McCathron said Gordon’s background in guiding global institutions through digital transformation will support Hippo’s commitment to data-driven insurance solutions. Gordon previously held leadership roles at MetLife, Blackstone, KPMG, and CoreLogic.

Prudential Financial elects Joseph Wolk to board

Prudential Financial has elected Joseph Wolk to its board of directors as an independent director, effective September 30, 2025.

Wolk, currently executive vice president and chief financial officer at Johnson & Johnson, will serve on Prudential’s Audit and Finance Committees.

Sandra Pianalto, chair of Prudential’s Corporate Governance and Business Ethics Committee, said Wolk’s expertise in global finance and stakeholder engagement will support the company’s evolution.

American Property Insurance names controller

American Property Insurance Company has promoted Christopher Bonavito to controller. He will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls.

CFO Mark Heid said Bonavito’s leadership and background make him well-suited for the expanded role. Bonavito said he looks forward to supporting the company’s continued growth.

Arrowhead Intermediaries expands leadership team and data strategy

Arrowhead Intermediaries has announced multiple leadership appointments and the integration of its data and analytics teams. The moves are designed to promote collaboration, growth, and operational alignment.

Key appointments include John Carrozza as CFO, Tony Cacchione as CIO, Joe Shomphe as CTO, James Jiloty as chief people officer, and Karthik Kesavan as head of integration management. Jimmy Curcio will lead the combined data and analytics team as chief strategy and analytics officer, supported by Rachael Hudson, newly named SVP of data strategy and business intelligence.

CEO Steve Boyd said the appointments reflect the company’s focus on innovation and collaboration. Chairman Chris Walker added that the expanded leadership team will be key to delivering long-term solutions and opportunities.
