The US insurance sector has seen a series of leadership appointments in recent days.
Global asset manager T. Rowe Price has appointed three executives to strengthen its insurance business.
Mark Rose joins the fixed income division as an insurance solutions strategist, reporting to Steve Boothe, head of global investment grade, fixed income. Rose (pictured, left) previously served as chief investment officer at Argo Insurance and has held roles at Goldman Sachs.
Chase Uhlein and Blayze Hanson join the Americas Institutional Business Development team as senior insurance relationship managers, reporting to Ben Riley, head of insurance. Uhlein (pictured, center) comes from JPMorgan, while Hanson (pictured, right) was most recently with PIMCO.

The Mechanic Group, a division of Specialty Program Group LLC, has appointed Candace Chieppo as practice leader.
The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has named Ian Davis its next president following a national search.
Davis previously served as SVP of captive insurance at M&T Bank and as Vermont’s director of financial services, where he played a key role in legislative advocacy and strategic marketing. He has served on VCIA’s board and chaired its annual conference.

Verisk has appointed Eric Spear (pictured immediately above) as chief technology officer for its Extreme Event Solutions unit.
Spear, formerly SVP of engineering at Flywire and Cengage Learning, will oversee engineering, quality assurance and IT functions. His focus will include advancing AI- and cloud-based catastrophe risk modeling capabilities to support insurers, reinsurers and other stakeholders.
