Safety National, ReSource Pro, Trucordia and Everest have all announced senior leadership moves in a bid to reshape their executive benches.
Safety National Casualty Corporation has unveiled a broad reshuffle of its executive management structure, effective April 1, 2026, aimed at supporting organizational growth and closer alignment with parent Tokio Marine Group.
Executive chairman Mark Wilhelm (pictured, left) will continue as chairman of the board at Safety National, while shifting more of his focus to an expanded role as international broker relationships leader for Tokio Marine Group. In that capacity, he will work with brokerage leadership globally to raise awareness of Tokio Marine’s collective strength and capabilities and help facilitate domestic and cross‑border solutions.
Chief client officer Tom Grove will retire from executive management and his CCO position after more than 30 years with Safety National. He will transition to an executive advisor role, providing strategic guidance and working on special projects with the executive team.
As part of the changes, executive vice president of business development Rob Leitner will become chief client officer, taking executive oversight of business development, client engagement, marketing and communications, and risk control.
Meanwhile, corporate senior vice president, chief accounting officer and assistant treasurer Katie Flynn will step into the role of chief financial officer and treasurer.
President Cyndee Morton will add executive oversight of the Safety National Re treaty reinsurance department to her existing remit, while chief operating officer Nick Kriegel will take on additional responsibility for claims and business intelligence and planning. CEO Duane Hercules and deputy CEO Gus Aivaliotis remain in their current roles.
Trucordia has named Jason Nelson (pictured, center) as vice president of public relations, a new role focused on sharpening the firm’s PR strategy, media presence, community engagement and brand storytelling as it continues nationwide growth.
Nelson brings more than 20 years’ experience across broadcasting, advertising and publishing. He began his career at the Provo Daily Herald, then joined KSL across radio, TV and digital, before becoming a partner in the group behind “Utah Valley Magazine”, “BusinessQ Magazine” and other titles. He later co‑founded Swell Media, an agency that worked with a range of Utah‑based organisations and was acquired by NRV Utah in 2025.
Everest Group has appointed Kelly Abeles (pictured, right) as head of affinity, accident & health (A&H), effective immediately. She reports to Shawn Austin, head of A&H, North America.
Bringing more than 30 years’ insurance industry experience, Abeles will lead the development and execution of Everest’s affinity strategy, enhancing its A&H offerings across associations, membership groups, digital platforms and other strategic partners.
Abeles was most recently vice president of association strategy, underwriting and distribution at Prudential, where she led its strategic growth plan in the affinity space. She previously served as vice president and affinity practice lead at AIG and has held leadership roles at subsidiaries of the American Bar Association and American Dental Association.
ReSource Pro has named Zachary Hansen as vice president of AI product solutions.
In the newly created role, Hansen will lead the development and scaling of AI‑driven solutions, working with clients and internal teams to ensure those tools are deployed in real operating environments and deliver outcome‑based value for carriers, brokers and MGAs.
Hansen previously served as director of product at ReSource Pro, where he led multiple revenue‑generating, client‑facing products, helped establish product governance and operating frameworks, and supported the expansion of AI and analytics across client operations. During his tenure, the portfolio posted double‑digit growth. Earlier roles saw him work on AI‑enabled analytics, compliance and workflow automation for finance and insurance organizations.
