Several major players in the insurance and risk management space have made key leadership appointments in recent days.

NFP appoints construction growth leader

NFP, an Aon company, has named Yuna Nordeen as senior vice president, US growth leader for its Construction and Infrastructure (C&I) Group.

Based in Chicago, Nordeen reports to Adrian Pellen, managing director and co-leader of the C&I division. Her mandate includes strengthening cross-functional collaboration and delivering scalable, client-focused solutions.

Nordeen brings more than a decade of experience in commercial P&C and distribution strategy, having held senior roles at Arch Insurance Group and Hiscox USA.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions bolsters public sector unit

LexisNexis Risk Solutions has appointed Amy Simon (pictured) as head of Labor and Workforce Solutions. Simon, a former acting assistant secretary at the US Department of Labor and founder of Simon Advisory, will lead a cross-functional team delivering data and fraud prevention tools to state workforce agencies.

Her appointment comes as state agencies face mounting pressure to modernize systems and improve service delivery. Simon, who has testified before Congress on pandemic-related unemployment fraud, will be based in Washington, D.C., and starts on August 11.

Anthem Names Ohio Medicaid president

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has appointed Michelle Stoughton as president of its Medicaid health plan in Ohio.

Stoughton assumes responsibility for overseeing care for more than 200,000 members and preparing for the launch of the Next Generation MyCare Ohio program in 2026.

Stoughton previously served as regional vice president of government relations for Anthem and has nearly 15 years of healthcare policy experience. Her past roles include positions with the Ohio Council of Retail Merchants and the Ohio House of Representatives.
