Liberty Specialty Markets and Distinguished Programs have made specialty-line leadership appointments covering war and terrorism risk and fine art coverage, while CRC Benefits has added a benefits sales executive to increase broker support in North Carolina.
Liberty Specialty Markets has promoted Lillian Hua (pictured top, left) to head of war and terrorism for Latin America and the US, effective January 12.
Hua will collaborate with the global team and broking partners to deliver offerings to clients across LatAm and the US. She will hold dual reporting lines to Will Goldberg, chief of staff, LatAm & US, and Mike Burle, global lines leader for war and terrorism.
“Lillian is a great asset to the war and terrorism team and her proven track record at Liberty provides her with a strong foundation to succeed in her new role: we congratulate her on her promotion,” said Burle. “We are fundamentally committed to supporting the development of internal talent and it is gratifying to see Lillian’s growth.”
Hua joined Liberty in 2020. The insurer said she brings risk expertise, market knowledge and broker relationships, supported by a decade of earlier experience in the insurance industry.
Distinguished Programs, a national insurance program administrator and managing general agent, has Kristen Ostermayer (pictured top, center) as vice president of business development and industry relations for the East Region within its fine art and collectibles program.
Based in South Florida, Ostermayer will be responsible for building broker relationships and increasing the program’s presence across the East Region.
Distinguished said Ostermayer brings experience in both the art and insurance industries, including risk assessment, claims adjustment and client retention, and is a technical expert in art materials.
“I’m excited to join Distinguished and be part of a team that truly values expertise, service and partnership,” Ostermayer said.
Prior to joining Distinguished, she spent 20 years in the art field, including fine art specialist roles at PURE Art Services (previously Haven Art Group) and Doyle Auctioneers & Appraisers. Distinguished said she advised insureds and clients on risk selection, insurance to value, loss prevention strategies and collections claims adjustment. She also held curatorial positions in Washington, DC, with the White House Historical Association and the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
CRC Benefits has added Tara Jones (pictured top, right) as benefits sales executive, based in North Carolina.
Jones has more than a decade of insurance experience specializing in health, life and worksite benefits, and will support broker partners working through employee benefits solutions.
“Tara’s experience, collaborative mindset, and commitment to service make her a strong addition to our team,” said Brock Purslow, regional vice president of CRC Benefits.
Jones has volunteered for several years supporting families and programs focused on youth recovery and serves on her local Rotary board.
