A wave of senior leadership moves have been announced across the insurance sector.
The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers has brought on Guillermo Luis (pictured top right of body) as vice president, producer, in Miami, Florida.
Luis joins the privately held brokerage with over 30 years of experience in surety and construction insurance, including underwriting and production roles across Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and South Florida. In recent years, Luis has worked closely with private developers and contractors engaged in public-private partnership infrastructure projects.
In his new role, Luis will focus on developing custom risk solutions for clients navigating evolving construction challenges, including bonding capacity constraints and project financing complexities.
Amwins has appointed Ben Tasse (pictured top, left) as head of distribution and growth for its underwriting division.
Tasse brings nearly two decades of insurance experience spanning underwriting, strategic development and distribution leadership. He most recently served as SVP of wholesale business development at Sompo North America. His previous roles at Axis Insurance focused on underwriting complex liability risks and managing private equity portfolios.
Digital risk coverholder Parametrix has appointed Sandy Perdiguerra (pictured above, center) as senior vice president, cyber and tech E&O underwriting. She will be leading the development, underwriting and rollout of new cyber and technology insurance products.
Independence Pet Holdings (IPH), which owns a broad portfolio of pet insurance brands and underwriting platforms, has appointed Gary Levenbach (pictured top, right) as president and chief actuary of its subsidiary, Independence American Insurance Company.
Levenbach will be responsible for overseeing the company’s risk management and financial strategies. He has more than two decades of experience in actuarial leadership and financial oversight, including more than 15 years at Cigna across various roles in group health, disability and life. His areas of expertise include reinsurance strategy, cross-functional collaboration and talent development.
IT services and digital transformation firm Hexaware Technologies has appointed Shantanu Baruah as president and global head of its healthcare, life sciences and insurance (H&I) vertical. Based in New Jersey, Baruah will lead growth and client success strategies across the company’s global operations in these sectors.
Baruah previously served as executive vice president at HCLTech. He has more than 25 years of experience helping global healthcare clients adapt to regulatory shifts, accelerate innovation and implement technology-enabled care models.
Ironpeak, an insurance network providing market access and support for independent agencies, has appointed Gary Reisman as regional manager for New York and New Jersey.
Reisman started his career as a business underwriter on the carrier side before transitioning into agency marketing and development roles. Over the past five years, he has worked within agency networks to support independent brokers through product access, growth initiatives and relationship management.
At Ironpeak, Reisman will work closely with member agencies to strengthen their market positioning and carrier partnerships in the region.
