Two major insurance players, HDI Global Insurance Company and Church Mutual Insurance Company, have announced strategic leadership changes.
Effective August 1, HDI Global Insurance Company, the US carrier of international corporate & specialty insurer HDI Global SE, has appointed Fellipe Aguiar as head of energy & power underwriting US.
The newly created position is meant to provide specialized support for clients and brokers across downstream and midstream energy, chemicals, conventional power, and renewable energy sectors.
Aguiar, who joined HDI Global in 2024, brings over 26 years of insurance industry experience, with a strong track record in underwriting complex risks in the energy and power markets across Latin America and the United States. His role will integrate operational and construction risks under one team, aligning with HDI Global’s cross-division energy & power unit.
Church Mutual Insurance Company has announced two officer appointments and two internal promotions.
David Endres has been appointed senior vice president – secretary and general counsel, overseeing legal and compliance strategy. Cory Van Den Heuvel joins as assistant vice president – IT and chief information security officer, responsible for IT infrastructure and cybersecurity.
In internal moves, Stephanie Lynn has been promoted to vice president – chief actuary, now responsible for full actuarial oversight while continuing to lead reinsurance. Andy Bloechl has been elevated to vice president – chief risk officer, adding enterprise risk management to his existing business transformation and data responsibilities.
President and CEO Alan Ogilvie said the changes reflect the company’s commitment to aligning its structure with evolving business needs while continuing to deliver value to policyholders.
