Several firms across the insurance value chain have announced leadership moves in the last 24hrs.

Guy Carpenter builds out parametric advisory leadership

Guy Carpenter, a business of Marsh and a leading global risk and reinsurance specialist, has named Ian Bartholomew (pictured, left), as global head of parametric advisory, effective June 1, 2026.

In the newly created role, Bartholomew will work with broking teams to drive growth in parametric solutions, an area that has been gaining traction in both reinsurance and corporate risk transfer as buyers look for faster, trigger‑based payouts and clearer coverage terms for natural catastrophe and non‑damage business interruption risks.

Bartholomew joins from FloodFlash, where he was co‑founder and chief underwriting officer at the parametric flood insurtech. Before that, he spent five years as a senior consultant in the capital markets advisory team at Moody’s RMS.

ISG names chief product and technology officer

Insight Service Group (ISG), a national provider of integrated claim and litigation support services, has appointed Angelic Gibson (pictured, center) as chief product and technology officer.

Gibson joins from AvidXchange, where, as CIO, she helped scale the accounts payable and payments automation platform from roughly $150 million to more than $450 million in revenue, leading enterprise technology, product engineering, data, cybersecurity and AI strategy.

In her new role, she will focus on reducing friction across the claim lifecycle, improving the speed and quality of information available to carriers and law firms, and ensuring ISG’s internal systems can support growing data and analytics demands.

MGT brings in seasoned wholesale executive as senior advisor

MGT has appointed Garrett Koehn (pictured, right) as senior advisor to help drive strategic distribution expansion and identify high‑ROI AI use cases in the US market.

Koehn has more than three decades’ experience in insurance broking and specialty risk. At CRC Group he served as president of brokerage, overseeing more than $13 billion in annual premiums and leading initiatives in international markets and fintech integrations. His expertise spans private equity, cyber, intellectual property and other complex specialty lines, and he has held underwriting authority from A‑rated carriers across multiple products.

In recent years, Koehn has been a visible figure in the insurtech ecosystem, advising firms such as Newfront and Nirvana and mentoring startups through Lloyd’s Lab, BrokerTech Ventures and academic innovation programs.

Nauto appoints head of insurance

Nauto has appointed Daniel Grimwood‑Bird as head of insurance, with a mandate to lead global engagement with insurers and brokers.

Grimwood‑Bird brings more than 20 years’ experience across insurance, insurtech and data‑driven risk intelligence. He has worked closely with carriers on using emerging technology and advanced data to shift from purely reactive claims management to more proactive risk prevention, particularly in commercial auto and fleet segments.

At Nauto, he will focus on embedding AI‑generated vehicle insights into underwriting, pricing and risk management workflows. The company positions its data as a way for insurers to refine risk segmentation, improve loss ratios and support safer outcomes for fleets and drivers by linking telematics‑driven coaching and intervention with rating and coverage strategies.

Alliant hires large‑group benefits specialist in Pennsylvania

Alliant Insurance Services has appointed Emily Ryan as vice president within its employee benefits group, based in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Ryan brings extensive experience in large‑group ancillary benefits, including life, disability, dental, vision, absence, voluntary benefits and stop‑loss. She has a background in managing complex renewals and integrated absence management strategies, and previously ran her own business, giving her an operational perspective on scalability, talent management and sustainable profitability.

Before joining Alliant, she served as an enterprise account executive with a major technology company, adding experience in tech‑enabled benefits and HR solutions.
