Two major players in the insurance and financial services sector have announced leadership changes, reflecting efforts to sharpen strategy and sustain growth in their respective markets.

Novatae announces leadership transition

Novatae Risk Group, the wholesale division of World Insurance Associates, has announced that CEO Richard Kerr has left the company, as of Aug. 22, 2025. President Nick Greggains (pictured above, left) has taken on all of Kerr's responsibilities, effective immediately.

World CEO Rich Eknoian thanked Kerr for his contributions during his three years at Novatae, while emphasising the company’s confidence in Greggains’ leadership as the firm enters its next stage of growth.

Greggains said he is focused on advancing Novatae’s broad portfolio of solutions and building on the strength of its teams to deliver greater value to clients.

Novatae continues to provide wholesale brokerage solutions across a wide range of products and services as part of World Insurance Associates.

Transamerica appoints head of retirement solutions

Transamerica has named Jason Frain (pictured above, right) as its new head of retirement solutions, effective Aug. 25, 2025. In his new role, Frain will lead product strategy and development across the company's retirement offerings, reporting to Jamie Ohl, president of Protection Solutions and Savings & Investments.

Ohl highlighted Frain's combination of actuarial expertise and commercial acumen, noting that his track record in shaping retirement and annuity products aligns with Transamerica's middle-market growth strategy.

Frain said he looks forward to collaborating with distribution and client teams to expand simple, high-impact products aimed at improving retirement outcomes for both employers and participants.

With nearly 30 years in retirement and annuity product leadership, Frain previously held senior roles at Brighthouse Financial. He is also a fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
