The Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA) announced the winners of its 67th Annual Showcase Awards during the Ignite conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.

This year’s Showcase attracted nearly 300 entries across 66 categories, with 153 awards presented. Entries were evaluated by professionals from within the insurance sector, including experts in advertising, public relations, corporate communications, and marketing. Judges scored submissions based on alignment with target audiences, objective achievement, and measurable results, determining gold, silver, and bronze honorees.

CRC Group emerged as a top performer, earning 11 awards including three golds. Admiral Insurance Group followed closely with nine awards, also including three golds. Nautilus Insurance Group secured seven awards, including two golds.

The prestigious IMCA Best in Show award was presented to Acuity Insurance for its standout 2023 Annual Report, titled “Our Recipe for Sustainable Success.” The report, creatively formatted as a cookbook, featured performance metrics and recipes contributed by employees and executives. The package included branded kitchen tools - such as a professional-grade ceramic pan - and emphasized sustainability throughout. A companion rewards campaign encouraged agents to thoroughly engage with the report.

Industry leaders recognized

In addition to the Showcase winners, IMCA recognized two standout individuals for their contributions to insurance marketing and communications.

Theresa Kwan, executive vice president of marketing – benefits & HR consulting at Gallagher, was named the 2025 IMCA Icon. The Icon Award honors a leader who demonstrates extraordinary achievement and innovation in advancing business goals through marketing. Kwan has played a pivotal role in transforming Gallagher’s marketing function from a single-person operation to a global team of 60 professionals. Her strategic vision and international perspective have been instrumental in shaping the company’s global marketing approach, it was noted.

Alissa Carson, project marketing manager at UFG Insurance, received the 2025 IMCA Trailblazer Award, recognizing her leadership and long-term contributions to the field. Over her 18-year tenure at UFG - starting as a mailroom intern - Carson has grown into a trusted communications leader, helping the organization navigate brand evolutions, mergers, and technology shifts. Her communication skills and foresight have strengthened cross-functional collaboration throughout the company, it was stated.
