Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced the acquisition of MACK Insurance Services, a commercial insurance brokerage based in New South Wales, Australia.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
MACK Insurance Services provides insurance solutions with a particular emphasis on the agriculture sector, serving clients from its offices in Wagga Wagga and Narrandera. As part of the deal, founder Lizzie Carver and her team will join Gallagher’s Australian brokerage operations.
“MACK Insurance Services is a culturally aligned broker whose agriculture niche expertise complements our existing brokerage capabilities in Australia,” said J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr., chairman and CEO of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. “I am delighted to welcome Lizzie and her associates to our growing, global team.”
The acquisition is part of Gallagher’s ongoing strategy to expand its specialist capabilities and regional footprint through targeted M&A activity. The company has been particularly active in pursuing acquisitions that align with its sector-focused model and enhance its expertise in key markets.
In addition to the MACK deal, Gallagher recently acquired Dion Leadership, a Michigan-based firm offering coaching, management training, talent assessments, and organizational development services. Dion’s leadership will continue to operate under its founder, Steve Dion, and report to Steve Coco, global managing director of Gallagher’s Talent Consulting division.
Gallagher has also added Equinox Agency, LLC to its growing portfolio. Based in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, Equinox is an employee health and benefits consulting firm serving clients throughout the Lehigh Valley. Its leadership team, including Thomas Groves and Dan Gagnier, will remain in place and report to Scott Sherman, who oversees Gallagher’s employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations in the Northeast.
