Hagerty has introduced a new service for its insured members in Florida, offering secure storage for classic and enthusiast vehicles during severe weather events.
The company, in partnership with Way, has launched Hagerty Safe Storage Concierge, which provides five days of enclosed storage above the estimated surge line at no additional charge for members.
The service is available initially in the Tampa and Miami metropolitan areas. Members will receive email alerts about incoming severe weather and can bring their insured collector vehicles to participating garages.
Way’s digital platform supports the reservation, access, and check-out process for the garages, streamlining the experience for Hagerty members. Jeff Briglia (pictured above), president of insurance at Hagerty, said, “After they take care of their families and homes, the next big thing people want to protect during severe weather is the special vehicle that means so much to them.”
Hagerty Safe Storage Concierge is available to members with Florida insurance policies underwritten by Essentia Insurance Company.
The program was developed in response to customer input. According to Briglia, more than 90% of surveyed members expressed interest in the service, and 75% reported having personally experienced a hurricane or tropical storm. Most respondents indicated they would evacuate their vehicles for a Category 3 hurricane or stronger.
Hagerty’s recent financial results have provided a foundation for new initiatives such as Safe Storage Concierge. In the second quarter of 2025, Hagerty reported strong revenue and net income growth, reflecting the company’s continued expansion and ability to invest in member-focused services.
In addition, Hagerty recently announced a new agreement with Markel that will enable the company to take full control of its insurance underwriting operations. This development is expected to give Hagerty greater flexibility in product innovation, risk management, and customer service.
