Marsh, the global insurance broker and risk advisor, has launched a new cyber insurance facility aimed at organisations in the European Union, as well as in Israel, Norway, Serbia and Turkey.

The facility is designed for businesses with annual revenues of up to €500 million.

Cyber Unity provides up to €5 million in primary cyber insurance capacity and is supported by a panel of six A-rated international insurers. Additional capacity may be accessed either through the panel or via Marsh’s wider network of cyber insurance facilities. The product is intended to address access barriers to cyber insurance for mid-sized firms, a segment that has historically faced difficulties securing appropriate coverage.

Cyber Unity includes incident response support through an integrated management platform, designed to help maintain continuity during cyber disruptions. The offering also features risk management and loss prevention services aimed at enhancing clients’ ability to respond to and mitigate cyber threats.

According to Marsh, the facility responds to ongoing concerns about the protection gap in the cyber insurance market. Its recent report, Why the cybersecurity gap between SMEs and large organisations matters, highlighted that many mid-sized businesses remain uninsured or underinsured for cyber-related losses.

“Many organisations, particularly mid-sized enterprises, face significant challenges in obtaining adequate cyber insurance,” said Gamze Konyar, head of cyber, Europe at Marsh. “As cyber risks continue to escalate in frequency and severity, these challenges become even more pronounced. By making cyber insurance more accessible, understandable and affordable, Cyber Unity provides robust primary capacity for European organisations, while seamlessly uniting comprehensive coverage with essential risk prevention, claims and incident management services.”

Marsh is part of Marsh McLennan, a global professional services firm operating in risk, strategy and people, with operations in more than 130 countries.
