Scott, who will be based in London, will oversee the strategy and execution of AmTrust’s claims operations across the specialty business. He will report to Bruce Whitmee, CEO of AmTrust Specialty Limited, and functionally to Ariel Gorelik, executive vice president and global chief operating officer of AmTrust Financial Services, Inc.
According to a news release, in his new role, he will lead claims management and resolution, drive innovation and process improvement, and ensure compliance with AmTrust’s claims management principles and minimum standards.
The company noted that Scott brings more than 30 years of insurance experience to the position. He began his career at HSBC, where he spent over 25 years in several roles including head of claims. He later joined Canopius Group as claims operations manager and head of retail and delegated. Most recently, he served for seven years as head of claims at Geo Underwriting, a managing general agent offering specialist insurance solutions to niche markets in the UK and internationally.
