Former DAS and Allianz executives Mickey Attia (pictured top) and Robin Stagg (pictured right) have launched Elevate Specialty, a new managing general agent (MGA) in the UK market, aiming to transform embedded and specialty insurance offerings.

The company claims to have been established to address issues associated with conventional insurance models, which it said often result in low engagement, underused products, and limited innovation.

According to Elevate, many embedded products are added at the point of purchase, leading to weak claims experiences and minimal long-term value.

As a result, the MGA is structured around four operational areas. First, it is “native by design,” meaning that products and claims services are integrated directly into customer environments where they can be accessed more naturally. Second, it applies a data-focused strategy, using proprietary information and predictive analytics to narrow reporting gaps and support profitable growth. Third, it has a technology-led approach involving rolling out products in under 60 days through microservices, open APIs, and claims automation. Finally, it has set fortnightly product improvement cycles intended to keep offerings relevant and compliant with the Financial Conduct Authority’s Consumer Duty.

The MGA has started offering a portfolio of products that includes legal expenses insurance, income protection for renters, cyber cover, home emergency, and personal accident.

Attia, who serves as chief executive officer, said the company was launched to ensure insurance supports customers beyond financial protection. “We design products and claims experiences that feel like they’ve always belonged in the customer’s world. That’s when insurance works best.”

“By making protection a natural, useful part of everyday environments, we unlock engagement, improve outcomes, and deliver measurable value for customers and partners alike,” chief operating officer Stagg added
