WTW and Atec Group have each announced leadership and structural changes as both firms look to advance their technology and consulting capabilities.

WTW EMEA ICT restructure

WTW has restructured the EMEA regional operations of its Insurance Consulting and Technology business, establishing dedicated P&C and life divisions.

The firm said the move responds to technological disruption and evolving client demand, and is designed to enable deeper specialisation across both segments.

Tim Rourke (pictured above, left) has been appointed EMEA P&C Leader as part of the restructure. Rourke brings over 25 years of industry experience and most recently served as UK head of P&C pricing, product, claims, and underwriting within the Insurance Consulting and Technology business.

In his new role, Rourke will be responsible for driving growth and deepening collaboration across WTW's EMEA offices. He will also work to connect the firm's insurance innovation and AI capabilities to the needs of P&C clients across the region.

Michael Klüttgens (pictured above, right) has taken on the role of EMEA life leader, moving from his previous position as divisional leader for Northern and Central Europe. His remit includes strengthening the life consulting proposition through advanced analytics, AI enablement, and end-to-end technology solutions.

Tammy Richardson, formerly European regional leader for Insurance Consulting and Technology, has assumed a broader role overseeing the execution of the business's global AI transformation strategy.

Atec names new CTO

Separately, insurance distribution group Atec has appointed Kirsty Biggs as chief technology officer, effective April 14. Biggs joins from Vitality Insurance, where she served as IT director for the Vitality Programme Systems.

Biggs brings over 20 years of experience to the position, including nine years in senior leadership roles at Vitality spanning engineering, delivery, and development. She previously spent nine years at Ageas, where she held the role of innovation delivery lead.

At Atec, Biggs will lead the development of the group's technology infrastructure, with a focus on modernisation and security. Her role will involve working with the leadership team to align technology with the group's operational and growth objectives.

Atec's gross written premium currently stands at over £125 million, and the group has set a target to double in size by 2030.
