The insurance sector has seen several notable appointments as firms strengthen their capabilities across claims management, underwriting, and advisory services.
Rokstone has appointed Stephanie Belcourt (pictured above, left) as head of complex claims. The move supports Rokstone’s investment in its claims function as it expands into new lines to diversify its portfolio.
Belcourt brings 20 years of experience, including roles at Apollo Syndicate 1969 and Hiscox. Ian Anson, Global CEO of Rokstone, highlighted the importance of maintaining a claims function that reflects the firm’s reputation for performance and service excellence.
Rokstone operates offices in the UK, Europe, USA, Asia, and the Middle East, underwriting more than US$1.1 billion in gross written premium across multiple specialty lines.
Insurance Advisory Partners has appointed Benjamin James (pictured above, right) as partner in its London office, effective at the end of June. James will support the firm’s expansion across the UK and Europe, working alongside existing leadership.
With over a decade of experience in investment banking and private equity, James specialises in strategic, M&A, and capital raising advisory for the insurance and insurtech sectors. His previous roles include investment & advisory director at Vemi Capital and vice president at Financial Services Capital.

Evolution Claims Management has introduced Evo Subsidence, a dedicated service for subsidence claims designed to accelerate diagnostics and repairs. The company, based in the West Midlands, aims to reduce claim lifecycles and indemnity spend through this new proposition.
The launch follows the appointment of Jim Pittman (pictured immediately above, left) as head of Professional Services to oversee complex claims and lead Evo Subsidence.
AXA XL has promoted Mick Turvey (pictured immediately above, right) to head of mid-market underwriting and UK regions, UK & Lloyd’s. Turvey will lead underwriting strategy for the mid-market portfolio, focusing on UK clients with domestic and international exposures and overseeing regional teams across several UK cities.
Turvey joined AXA XL in 2013 and brings 35 years of underwriting experience in property and casualty.
