A series of senior appointments have been announced across the UK insurance market with QBE, Lumara and Tokio Marine Kiln all adding to their leadership and underwriting teams.
QBE names head of client engagement
QBE has appointed Melody Lyndon-Stanford (pictured, left) as head of client engagement for its European operations, in a newly created role, effective June 2026.
Lyndon‑Stanford brings more than 15 years of insurance experience, having started her career as an underwriter before moving into client‑focused roles from 2021. She joins from Aviva, where she most recently served as client relationship and innovation manager.
Lumara appoints lead underwriter, Midlands
MGA Lumara has appointed Matt Draper (pictured, centre) as lead underwriter, Midlands. Draper will be responsible for developing a Midlands broker panel for Lumara and leading the development of the firm’s motor trade combined product nationally.
Draper has 25 years’ experience in the Midlands broker market, having held technical underwriting roles with RSA and NIG, and most recently worked at Covéa as a development underwriter.
TMK boosts portfolio solutions team
Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) has expanded its portfolio solutions team with the appointment of Sarah Tidbury (pictured, right) as portfolio solutions underwriter.
Tidbury joins the company, effective immediately. She brings more than 20 years of underwriting and portfolio management experience across multiple commercial lines. She most recently served as a delegated authority underwriter for Liberty Mutual Insurance. Prior to that, she held senior underwriting roles at RSA London and AIG London.
In her new role, Tidbury will focus on assessing and structuring portfolio deals across multiple lines of business and geographies, working with brokers and clients to tailor solutions as TMK broadens its technical expertise and market reach.
